Bookworm

FRIDAY THE 13TH

Happy Friday the 13th!!!  So last time I did an extremely long post about movies and now it's time for books.  I promise this will be much shorter but probably less interesting unless you're a bookworm like me :P  I'm not the nerdy type who is constantly reading and has no friends though.  I just read to read.  I have to be in the mood to read and when I am in the mood to read, I read a lot.  But anyways, now it's time for a list and short description of some of my favorite books.  PLEASE KEEP READING!!!

-A Rose for Melinda (This is by far the best book I have ever read.  It's absolutely amazing and so inspiring.  It made me cry at the end, but I won't spoil it.  The story is about a girl named Melinda, obviously, who aspires to be a professional dancer.  Her dreams are put on hold though when she is diagnosed with cancer and has to fight for her life.  OK so seriously if you are reading this blog, read this book.  It's amazing.)

-Speak (So this book was assigned to my freshman English class last year to read.  Like any other reading assignment for school, I was dreading it.  It actually turned out to be an amazing book.  It's about a girl who is also named Melinda, I think, who gets raped by some douche bag and becomes socially awkward because she doesn't tell anyone.  Also a very good book.  Read it!)

-The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (I has this as a summer reading book this past summer and was actually surprised that it turned out pretty good.  It's a mystery book, no one is named Melinda :P  But it's about a teenage boy with Aspergers who tries to solve the mystery of who killed a neighborhood dog and finds out so much more than who the killer is.)

-The Time Traveler's Wife (Good book.  Goes a little too much in detail in the sex scenes.  The movies is pretty good but not completely like the book.  I think the book is better.  But the title is kinda of self explainatory of what the book is about.)

-Grace (Excellent book.  About a boy who begins to like a homeless girl he lets live in his clubhouse but their love is questioned when something unexpected comes up with the girl, Grace.)

-House Rules (Wonderful book, occasionally hard to follow unless you understand law stuff.  About a boy with Aspergers who is obsessed with crime and CSI kind of stuff that gets put on trial for the murder of his tutor.  But did he really kill her?  Read it to find out.)

That's all of my book list for now.  I don't want to annoy you with my dorkiness so even though there are more books, I'll cut the list off there.  I suppose that next time I'll have to do a very long list of songs and bands that kick ass :P Adios for now!

P.S. PLEASE FOLLOW!!! Thanks <3

Happy New Year!!! And soo much more...

1.10.2012

First off, Happy New Year to all the people not reading this because sadly, I don't have any followers.  To be honest, I don't really care.  It isn't a bad thing but you probably don't want to hear me ramble on because you probably won't follow me.  But please, FOLLOW ME!!!!

Anyways, this blog will hopefully get much better soon because I'm done with drama...for now.  Not everyone can be completely drama free.  So I've been spending a lot of my free time and late nights watching movies.  I'm a movie addict and always have been but it's getting worse now.  Ahhh!  So did you ever notice how like every movie (or TV show or book) has a love story somehow incorporated into it?  It gets kind of annoying.  Some of the best movies, to me, would probably be (I don't care if you hate these movies because I LOVE them) (These aren't in any order either :P):

- Horrible Bosses (If you're looking for a comedy, this is perfect.  HILARIOUS)
- Valentine's Day (Sadly about love, kind of hard to follow, a lot of good actors, pretty good over all)
- Burlesque (Also about love, but I'm a dancer so I love it)
- Zombieland (Also hilarious yet about love, but mainly a comedy)
- Easy A (Love again?  I think so! But funny and good too.  Love Emma Stone!)
- Lord of the Rings (I'm a dork :P)
- Alice in Wonderland (The new one with the handsome Johnny Depp)
- Napoleon Dynamite (Epically hilarious movie, a classic!)
- Edward Scissorhands (Once again Johnny Depp <3)
- Phantom of the Opera (Once again my dorkiness)
- Harry Potter (The dork is still here)
- Forrest Gump (Personally, I think it's Tom Hank's best movie.  Totally a classic, and about love)
THE LONG LIST GOES ON!!! TOLD YOU I'M AN ADDICT
- The Blind Side (Wonderfully based on a true story)
- The Other Guys (Hilarious)
- Grown Ups (Also hilarious)
- Fame (An amazing movie about dance and the performing arts, which are my life)

Well finally that is the end of the list.  I could also go on with a probably shorter list of books but I'll save that for another time.  I don't want you to die of boredem before you can click the follow button.  PLEASE FOLLOW ME!!!
